Ariana is the first bi racial (half-black and half-Japanese) winner of Miss Universe Japan pageant. After graduating from a local school in Japan, she went to the United States for her studies. In the USA, she studied and worked as a bartender. In 2015, Ariana won the title of Miss Nagasaki and represented her administrative division.   Last year’s winner, who also represented Nagasaki, Keiko Tsuji, was unable to attend the coronation night because she are sick.  Shortly before the final votes of the judges were tallied and before millions in the television audience phoned  in their preferences, two of the pageant's judges voiced their disapproval, because they think that Miyamoto is not a good option.
